New Fitbits on the way?

Fitbit recently introduced two new Fitness Trackers, the Blaze a smartwatch type of tracker and the more discrete Alta.  Two Trackers in the existing Fitbit lineup, the Flex and Charge are now (in modern terms) a bit long in the tooth.  The Flex was introduced in 2013 and Charge a Year later.  So both should be ripe for a refresh.

When a company is looking to protect its products from having their designs ripped off, they file a trademark application with the US Patent and Trademark Office.  Keen watchers monitor the applications that are made and can often pick up snippets about new tech coming through.

Blogger Dave Zatz does just that and noticed applications for a Fitbit Charge 2 and Fitbit Flex 2.

There's very little information other than the names filed, but that's encouraging as it would look like timely upgrades.  Its hard to figure what else they could put in tech wise, without disturbing their product lineup so maybe these will just be styling and durability refreshes.

What would you like to see added/improved? drop a comment below.

As a Surge user, I'm a bit disappointed there's not a Surge 2 in the works yet, especially as mine is showing its age now, but I would like to think there  will be one in the not too distant future.

The strap - if it breaks or bubbles like mine did it would be better if the whole Fitbit didn't need replacing for the sake of the strap - it's ok if Fitbit replace it FOC but if you had to pay for a replacement it would not be do good !
